Chinese Herbs are good for the soul
Chinese Herbal Formulas
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been in use for thousands of years and Chinese herbal medicinals have withstood the test of time. There are thousands of herbs in the Chinese materia medica, of which about 300 are commonly used. You will generally receive a mixture of several different herbs in a formula that has been tailored to your condition. Chinese herbs are extremely effective and normally have mild or no side effects, however, it is very important to tell me about all the medications and supplements you are currently taking so that we can avoid any unwanted interactions with your formula.
Traditional Chinese Medicine uses many tools for healing; Chinese herbs, acupuncture, moxibustion, tui na massage, gua sha, and cupping are the most popular. Chinese herbal medicine has been passed down for generations and there has been books published for many millennia. The uses for Chinese herbs are vast and range from simple formulas to treat the common cold or flu, or more complicated formulas to help patients fight off cancer by strengthening their immune system, decreasing blood pressure or helping lower cholesterol to prevent heart disease, controlling acute and chronic pain, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and stress management to name a few. Many of the herbs we use for regular spices in our cupboard have been used to facilitate healing.

Chinese Herbal Soaks

Chinese herbal soaks can help with wrist pain

Chinese herbs help with pain and tendonitis
Chinese herbal formulas can be used externally for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Eczema and psoriasis come from a deeper issue within the body TCM doctors call the Root issue. Skin issues often stem from digestive issues. By treating the root of the problem, the digestion, the skin (the branch) will clear up as the body heals itself. In a study conducted at Ming Qi Natural Health Center in Manhattan several participants drank Erka Shizheng Herbal Tea, took herbal baths, applied herbal creams to the affected areas, and completed multiple acupuncture sessions. This combination of therapies greatly reduced symptoms for most participants, who began the study with severe eczema and ended with very mild symptoms. This small study warrants more larger studies due to the great results. Chinese external herbal soaks are used for Sports Medicine and work great for acute and chronic injuries such as sprained ankles, broken bones, foot and wrist sprains and strains, muscle tears, muscle soreness & recovery, arthritis of any type, degenerative joints and many other musculoskeletal injuries.
